In early May 2008, ALLSTEEL completed the successful installation and start up of the largest Dishing/Forming Press in North America. The 3500 ton press, which was designed and built for Walker Stainless Equipment Co. LLC of New Lisbon Wisconsin, has the capacity to produce dish heads as follows:
- Blank size 156”
- Dish head size 151”
- Dish head maximum depth 26.5”
- Maximum stainless steel thickness .187”
Both Dave Mavis, responsible to start up the press and Dale Stoughtenger, senior manager at Walker, have been involved in the process from start to finish, and could not be happier with the end results.
